Benefits of Reflexology

A reflexologist joins the silent dialogue within your body by the skillful application of pressure to specific points in the feet, hands and body.  This complementary therapy has been practiced in diverse cultures for thousands of years.  With a blend of balance, circulation and relaxation, the body may enter into a mode of healing itself. Reflexology may be used for preventive care or in response to emotional stress or physical problems.

The benefits of reflexology enable the body to return to a state of homeostasis which can help:

  • Improve circulation
  • Aid digestion
  • Improve immune function and concentration
  • Encourage "internal relaxation" to your body systems
  • Work with the systems of the body, breaking down waste
  • Alleviate tension that can block internal body functions
  • Alleviate headaches, pain from arthritis & back pain, PMS & menopause symptoms
  • Reduce symptoms of diabetes, fibromyalgia, tendonitis, etc.
  • Improve energy, mood & sleep patterns.
  • body's ability to adapt and balance in times of stress

Today, a lot of us are paying attention to diet, exercise and health issues.....why not include your feet in your health care.  Foot disorders disrupt our centre of gravity and can cause knee, leg and calf pain as well as sever backache and knee instability.  Meridians and reflexes can also be adversly affected creating problems in corresponding body parts.

The modality of Reflexology as a preventative therapy is becoming widely utilized globally. In addition to caring for the body by eating more sensibly, exercising and calming the mind and body with relaxation and meditation techniques, visits to a reflexologist as extra 'maintenance' can be of enormous benefit.
